@benroyce Every cycle we see this. Biden isn’t liberal enough! Kamela isn’t liberal enough! Newsome is really just a republican. Sure, there are parts I’m not happy about, but great Cthulu they’re 1000x better than what we ended up with because of the precious, toxic idealism!

@ai6yr Yes, you can use HSA/FSA money to buy, among other things, bikes. Canyon is big on this (though it’s not their whole line). I don’t know how long they’ve been doing this but it’s better than my usual thing of using up HSA funds by buying loads of first aid supplies.

Five years ago I had a particuarly vivid dream: I was at a fair ordering food from a food truck. There was something on the menu called “Pear Surprise”. I don’t remember what it was, but it was so surprising, it woke me up!

There has been much speculation over the years in my family about what a Pear Surprise might be. Is it fully of pears when you don’t expect it? Does it actually not contain pears at all? NO ONE KNOWS!!!

So Kid 2 made me a Pear Surprise for Christmas! I am surprised.

@ai6yr @faraiwe The market for buying that bike have strong opinions on pedals and will supply their own. Honestly, even the $2k bike crowd (raises hand) has pedal opinions.

@ai6yr @faraiwe Honestly, there is a ton of similarity between the performance bike crowd and the performance car/truck crowd. If you want a bike to get from A to B, that’s easy and cheap. If you want to do it in some optimized way and/or get geeky about it, well my friend, do we have some options for you! Fortunately high-end bikes cost far less than high-end cars.
