    Target dumps DEI.

Target's foot traffic down for the eighth straight week.

    Costco keeps DEI

Costco's foot traffic up for the 13th consecutive week.

It's almost like the policies the gop regime is trying to destroy are astonishingly popular and there's a real opportunity for an opposition party to stand toe-to-toe with it and fight.

A fair question. You have asked the right person, a connoisseur of stupid.

That was more calculated than stupid.

Don't get me wrong. There was deep stupidity involved, but mostly in the apparent belief that anyone would buy what the editorial was selling. What it was selling was garden-variety stupid.

I've heard Donald Trump being interviewed. I've listened to Kid Rock's music.

Hell, I've listened to my own music.

And this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. It isn't close.

Democrats' playbook for Trump 2.0: Tune out the noise and focus on economic issues
      from NBCNews
As Trump floods the zone in his first week in office, Democrats are departing from their "resistance" strategy in his first term and zeroing in on issues that cost them the last election.

    Describe America in one sentence.

(good try but you left out her health insurance claim being denied)

The last time I saw this much of a — there's no other way to put it — positive reaction to someone being killed was Bin Laden.

With Bin Laden it was "Yay! Good riddance!" This is more like "And I'm supposed to feel bad? [Insert insurance related joke.]"

But I don't think my social media feeds are especially sociopathic or anything, and I haven't seen a single person going "Hey, folks, let's cool it down. A man is dead."

Americans are absolutely in a state of rage about our healthcare system. As we should be.

Seems like one of our political parties is in a good position to do something with that information.

    It won't.

I for one am happy to see Elmo at Trump's rally, because Trump's about to learn my theory of Elmo, which is undefeated.

Exactly. I object to the whole premise of both the Costco letter and the article, though the letter is better than the usual corporate response of trying to fire people who maybe have a thought about organizing.

"This is a great way to begin your response to employees telling you there is a problem -- which is what unionizing is."

Bullshit. Unionizing is organizing to balance out the power relationship. There doesn't need to be a problem to unionize.

Every worker should be in a union. That way, if there ever IS a problem, you don't have to say "Damn, I wish there was someone on my side."

We no longer have political coverage.

New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a short statement Monday morning, "My message is simple: No matter how powerful you are, no matter how much money you think you may have, no one is above the law."

No matter how much money YOU THINK YOU MAY HAVE, no one is above the law.

I think about this a lot. Like a lot a lot.

If Los Angeles County were a state, it would be a bigger prize in presidential elections than Georgia or Michigan.
