Don’t forget the critters on these scorching days. I fill the water bowl 2x a day and I see finches, cardinals, blue jays, titmice, opossums and of course squirrels drinking from it.

Look who visited our feeder this afternoon? My favorite Indigo Bunting, it’s rare to snap a shot in the sun. Actually, it’s rare to see him period.

One summer a cicada got inside. They’re ugly but not death worthy, so I managed to get it on a magazine to take it outside. I stood outside and threw it into the air only to be caught by my doggo’s mouth, and she crunched away. 🤦🏼♀️

What a spectacular warm autumn afternoon! We traveled with the top down to our favorite cemetery. The Civil War stones are difficult to decipher but it’s so interesting creating stories in our minds of the families who are laid to rest there so many years ago. I don’t know how many of you find respectfully visiting cemeteries as interesting as we do?
Missouri trees are changing nicely, but Illinois trees haven’t changed at all. In the next couple of weeks another ride will be in order.

#Today the sun has been shinning all day! I finished morning workout but not without a struggle. Some days you just have to push yourself, unless your body really speaks to you loudly, then you listen. I drove into town, a trip on scenic roads adjacent to a pretty State Park. There’s a faster way without scenery. March is a busy Birthday month in our large family. Usually curbside pickup is our go to, but birthday cards requires inside shopping. That’s done, now to rest.

#Today is slacker Sunday for me and I throw my routine out the window. I’m going to finish a extraordinarily powerful movie from last night “Women Talking” today with popcorn.
It isn’t a lovely day so I don’t see hiking in my future. Hope everyone has a restful day or whatever kind of day you want to make it.
