my grand nephew, who I did not know, died of a heart attack at age 34a few days. That is the second child of his generation in that family (My sister had six kids) who died young. Both boys, both probably as a result of drug/alcohol abuse and mental illness. Bipolar runs in my family. There's a lot of self medicating going on, I think.

for some reason we can't watch Picard until Jeopardy is over. My husband has made up some weird arbitrary rules that we're now living by. A revolution may be in order.

We got our couch. It's amazing. It's under these huge windows in this amazing sunroom thingy we have in this new place and I can lie on it and look up at the sky, whilst being cozy and warm. HOW AMAZING IS THAT? I am not sure I deserve this!!!

I have a number of trans male friends and one nibling who is FTM, but...I would not want to be male. When Rowlings says women want to become men b/c being a woman sucks, she's not thinking about all the warring men do. It sucks to be male, too. Fuck, it sucks to be human a large percentage of the time. Rowlings is an idiot. Being human is hard. Be the human you want to be, it's the least one deserves in life. Life is tough. Be whatever feels right.

took walk. Dog got muddy. Bathed dog. Husband is working on his man cave. This is my life now. Pretty dull. I can't complain. Dull is good.

I got to hang out with my niece today. She's very cool. I'm glad we moved up here.

I don't trust Tuesdays.

daughter is seeing genetic counselor right now about her sonogram results. She's so worried and upset. I'm not religious but if I was I'd be praying for good outcome. Sometimes I wish I was religious. Just not possible for me.

It's very sunny and nice out- just did three miles in the crisp winter air. Dog had to be dragged away from some fried chicken someone had left on the sidewalk. WTF, people? Don't leave fried chicken on the sidewalk.

So my eyes are burning and I’m dizzy and feeling weird. Are these Covid symptoms? It just started today. I feel rather strange. No respiratory symptoms other than sore and occasionally watery eyes.

I remember the first time I heard Joan Armatrading's Down To Zero. Now, that's another album I need to revisit. My life has been so filled with so much music. It's so hard to keep up.

Do any of you remember the first time you heard a specific song? I have a couple that come to mind. The first time I heard Hey Jude I was driving my parents care on the way home from my friends house and I had to stop and pull over because I was blown away.
