They've been around for a while. Khan Academy is one of the well-established ones. Several universities have issued their own at various times as well.

Cramming educational content into people's social media feeds may be appealing for some folks, but having a structured learning environment that is deliberately intended for learning, that you engage with intentionally to do so, is far more effective.

orgs are going to have a much harder time defending against threats now that Trump's failures have impeded the ability of federal agencies to coordinate responses.

I think that individual states are going to have to stand up, and cooperate, their own versions of CISA in order for businesses to be able to survive.

As a side note, I think queer people specifically understand informational hygeine far better than the privileged class, due to life experiences where maintaining such hygeine has been requisite for survival.

If your policies aren't written by queers, they are not going to adequately address your infosec needs.

    :think_bread:

Y'know, anti-DEI policies constitute elevated risk from a supply chain auditing perspective, because failure to consider all user perspectives in systems design will result in control gaps that an adequately diverse team would anticipate and handle preemptively.

Therefore, if your supply chain has insufficient DEI utilization, that will elevate your risk posture significantly as well, and you should make sure to change suppliers accordingly.

they're kinda using it as a catch-all slur, too, for anyone who isn't a cishet white man.

which, if you think about it, we're talking about - what, maybe a third of the country? - is "normal" and the rest of us are DEI.

The only people who object to DEI initiatives are incompetent dipshits who fear that the people they are biased against will visibly outperform them, and accordingly threaten their employment.

Anyone who is competent and confident in their capabilities has no fear of DEI inclusion.

Speaking against inclusion of diverse voices is the same as advertising an inability to do the job.

"You're just misinterpreting; they didn't mean it" was a key component of how I was abused as a kid.

I wasn't misinterpreting. They did mean it. As they do now.

Conservatives lie about basic facts of reality.

    Trust yourself.

Funny thing about fascist systems -

the people who put them together never do proper analysis to make sure all the rules and controls they ostensibly implement actually work together.

So following their directives to the letter is almost always counterproductive to their goals.

And us ADHD folks, well, we do need our checklists to make sure we haven't forgotten anything.

    frankly, I've started enjoying that.

'cuz that means that the kids these days aren't jammed into the whole 20th-century zeitgeist of boomer-pandering nostalgia that we've had to manage for our whole lives.

Perhaps they can also be freed of the disgusting pablum of Bing fucking Crosby and all -that- horseshit too.

Hey, so, I know - viscerally - how outrageous the story about Meta allowing slurs for LGBT people is.

Can you do me a favor and -not use those quotes-?

Or if you feel you must, stick 'em behind a consent wicket?

Because I am awfully the fuck tired of seeing the T-slur used openly and I'm gonna start getting really fucking shirty about it.
