Sleep well my sweet little prince, Lucky Seven. For almost 17 years you were my constant companion, my love. This is the first time since 9/6/2001 that we don’t have a pet in the house. It’s going to be horribly quiet and empty here now.
@kims my daughter had hers out two years ago when she was 26. It was definitely not easy, but it was one of the best things she’s ever done. She had strep throat after strep throat after strep throat before and she hasn’t had it once since.
@jeridansky I was in the first batch of experts certified by Josh Z in 2014. I was one of the relatively few experts still left as of last January. The whole thing is really sad.
Pisses me off because I’d love to keep using it but 1) it’s TOO EXPENSIVE and 2) they’re a horrible company. Moving to Apple Notes but judiciously…most stuff I will simply keep on my computer. And I'm still working on getting out of the Google ecosystem.
@jeridansky Never thought I’d see the day I’d leave Evernote. It took me the last like six weeks but I’ve emptied my acct and I’m about to shut it down. They jacked their prices up to a ridiculous amount.
I was just reading an article about a tech company that bought Vimeo recently and has completely decimated the workforce. While I’m reading it I’m thinking wow that sounds like the BS that bending spoons pulled when they bought #Evernote. Yep! It was bending spoons again. They really are a shitty company. And I say that as someone who used to be intimately involved with Evernote.
@kingrat that’s fantastic news. I would’ve put money on that happening, but it’s great to hear it confirmed. Like someone else in another comment said, they are very data driven. They know what makes financial sense for them.
@sand my husband‘s best friend got a ball at the Giants/DBAX game last night. Took a picture with it and then immediately gave it to a kid to rose in front of them.
