@cadusilva Actually, the code works perfectly fine. The snow is meant to appear only during the Christmas season, from December 23 to December 31. I've added comments in the code to make this clearer.

If you want you can tweak the times for your instance. There is no snow before December in Finland anyway. :(

Probably because of this, I have a freaking frustrating issue on GNOME and GTK. My window buttons are on the right side again, and I can't seem to change that. For Electron apps and some others, they're on the left like they should be, but for Nautilus, GNOME Terminal, etc., they're on the right.

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout has no effect whatsoever, and neither do GNOME Tweaks or Refine. I've even tried editing the CSS directly at $HOME/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css since GNOME Terminal seems to obey it, but the buttons still won't change.

I've been bashing my head about this for a while. Any tips, my fellow Linux nerds?

Please note that I use Gnome (Pop Shell) with X11 again.

I'm glad I left Twitter, but I'm also happy I was able to preserve my tweets like this.

This is really nice and something we haven't seen on any other social media platforms. Elsewhere, you can just quote someone without asking, but in the Fediverse, you need permission, and you can actually control who quotes you without having to delete your post.

It feels great to be part of something truly unprecedented.

Today, I tried to take a shortcut and asked my local agent to identify which Python folder was redundant. I even made sure it double-checked. The damn thing deleted the wrong folder... now I have to rebuild 16GB worth of packages from scratch.

It's a guessing machine.
