six pages 'til daylight and the first draft of the final issue of Star Trek Voyager: Homecoming is done (this equates to 10-12ish screenplay-format pages)

today i worked on the final issue of Star Trek Voyager: Homecoming and teared up

because i’m right there with the characters, and i’m writing Trek!

getting the keys to Voyager and brining these babes home has been such an honor

our hearts are on every page

can’t wait for you to read it 🩷

so we watched Paddington!
about the bear named Paddington

and in this somewhat charming family movie from 2015 that’s an allegory about accepting immigrants (!)

there’s just a scene completely rife with casual implicit homophobia and transphobia

and i am so tired

five years ago today, after six years of waiting (and a lifetime of struggle), i finally got to tell the world who i really am 🩷

and despite the world not wanting people like me to exist, they have been the best five years of my life AND IT’S NOT EVEN CLOSE

and i thanked all the trans ladies who made me believe i could do it too, and still have a writing career
