   sadly amazon remains vital to a book’s success

   so imagine my surprise to look at my book listing and see it not only under a HP ad (holy shit) but the digital and paperback versions are GONE

     my manager ordered a hardcover from amazon yesterday, just to see what would happen (since paperbacks and digital were removed)

     this is the email they sent him when it shipped

     hidden for privacy? of an item he BOUGHT?!

     THEY CENSORED THE TITLE AND COVER

     it doesn’t turn up in searches

     and people’s purchased digital copies are DISAPPEARING FROM THEIR DEVICES

     update from my publisher: they say this has happened to all their books (for reasons I wasn’t told) and it would “all be fixed” in a couple days?

     Does that mean people with digital copies that lost them will get them restored?! what the heck is going on

     I guess we wait and hope

     important to add it doesn’t come up in searches either, it just isn’t there

     and if you add my name to the search, all you get is the Audible page (which as they’re owned by amazon I suspect will disappear soon too)

     SURE seems like they’re intentionally burying it

     @tillybridges Do you also have a drm-free epub? If not, you should sell it in that form. Amazon can't confiscate and censor that format.
     I get needing to be on the big platform, so my suggestion isn't instead of Amazon, but in addition to.

     finally an update!

     paperback and kindle versions of my book have returned to its amazon page

     MOST of my reviews are back, but I’m about 10 short of before? when it took me TWO YEARS to hit the 100 threshold for more promotion?? 🫠

     no idea if it’s still censored when people buy it tho 🫤
