Day 2: Endless creek crossings and endless steep climbing bring my positive mood to a screeching halt during Day 2. But as ever, there are valuable lessons, and beauty all around me.

Thanks for the suggestion of taking a thin roll of plastic. That sounds like solid advice (and one I've not heard before). I have a raincover for my pack, but something I should probably grab on the way are dry bags or at least a big garbage bag to line the inside of the pack with.

Backpacking the Cascades must have been epic!

@JonTheNiceGuy @JoeRess Not a dumb question at all! I might wash socks/underwear in a creek or river every few days. But the OCT has many opportunities to just exit the beach/trail and go into a small coastal town to resupply food, do laundry, etc.

I like the Reacher approach, but these hiking clothes are too damn expensive! :D
