Sad news: The Living Computer Museum in Seattle won't reopen and the collection, including the historic PDP-10, pivotal to the origins of #Emacs and #FreeSoftware, is set to be auctioned. On this day December 9 1906, Grace Hopper was born. Not only did she develop the theory of machine-independent programming languages, she also created the first compiler for a computer programming language and popularized the term 'debugging' when she removed a moth from a computer.
