My great uncle: Fought in WWII in Germany, captured in Dec 1944, released in Spring 1945, died in 1955 from the complications of the TB he caught in the prison camp and the alcohol he used to combat his PTSD

Tbf, it's had 9 justices for pretty much the lifetimes of everyone still alive. Not saying that change is impossible, just means we have to work harder to socialize/justify change. If we focus on showing that there was a hierarchy from appellate courts to justices that is no longer equitable, we can show how the SC has deviated from it's historic size.

Backing way up, how many jobs require skills that are relevant to a specific sport? (And no, "teamwork" isn't an answer. There are a million non-sports examples of teamwork that can be highlighted in the average person's work history.)

The stunning arrogance. My grandma told me about two deaf kids in school when she was growing up--mumps--and kids that were blinded by measles as she was training as a nurse in the 1920s, the polio when she was in Admissions in the 1950s, trying to find beds during an epidemic. She treated vaccines as a blessing. I hope we don't know the world without them.

I saw that movie at a preview in Chicago. The theater was full, and no one had any idea what was coming. It remains the most engaged audience of any screening I have ever attended. During the "startle" scenes, you couldn't even hear anything over the screaming.
