Oh it was quite the adventure, I think it would be easier today with satnav and such. Ours started out with delivering some contraband herbs to some friends in New England and ended up in Houston where I've stayed since.

I did this with some mates in the mid '70's.
Make it loop, round the north and south with some zigzags through the middle.
Mine took four months, so adjust as necessary.
