These are not delusional concerns-we could have seen a chaotic massacre by people more delusional than the Nazis even were.

Americans, please understand, the Texas judge is banning a drug that is used for miscarriage care and other women’s health issues too! It helps protect from sepsis, which can lead to death or sterility. He is putting so many people at risk and adding a lot of grief.

Texas has gone the furthest in criminalizing trans people. Governor Greg Abbott and Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton have ordered state agencies to prosecute anyone who supports medical transition for trans youth under the state’s felony child abuse laws. Item: I was a teacher in Texas. One of my brightest and best was transgender. Anyone who thinks I’d identify them and their private business to Texas government, is as corrupted as Ken Paxton and as vile as Gov Abbott or Cancun Cruz. Glad I left. #Freedom ??

This is why I got my teaching retirement out of Texas. Because I suspect, from the way things are going, they’d try at some future date to take that money I earned for speaking publicly online. ?♀️

I don’t take kindly to cultures were you are told not to be yourself and bullied to stay in line. There are many wonderful educators in Texas and curious kids who deserve better than a culture where they can’t learn their own complicated history without the racist whitewashing and anti CRT nonsense. I am glad we were mandated reporters when it comes to abuse, but this is abuse: to put us in a position to tattle on our students, whether about abortion or trans issues. They trust us! Evil. #Texas

In Texas, we were told if you strike, you lose your retirement. Despite tenure, we could be fired at will. If you don’t do as you are told, they write you up like you’re a child. It’s a brutal educational system and they deserve to lose teachers, which they indeed have because they mishandled covid so badly with their culture war crap, but worse, they are failing kids. I didn’t just leave because I couldn’t stand teaching in that bully culture; I left because I wanted my own kids to be educated.

In Texas I saw a veil of silence that comes from being afraid. Abusers are indeed able to destroy lives and do much harm. But freedom means we can be honest, even when they silence the truth. Call their bluff. #TellTheTruth ?️ #Freedom #UnitedStatesOfAmerica ??

I mean seriously, so we really want to live in a culture where we aren’t allowed to just be honest about what we are seeing? That’s what these Republicans want. It would come for them, too, in due time. I don’t think we have to live like that.
