This story is very funny and keeps getting better.
Starting at 2am in Bungendore, a burglar disturbed by the local cops makes off in the cop car and drives into Canberra. He pulls over a random car and steals that. The owner of the stolen car then gets in the cop car to chase but crashes it into a tree.
By the 7pm news, we're told that the ACT cops have the offender holed up in a house in O'Connor. This morning we learn that the siege ended later in the evening when they realised it wasn't the guy they were after.
