How come (TERFs) never talk about the physical advantages cis women have in women’s sports? Simone Biles is under 5 feet tall, in her sport this is a distinct advantage.

If you’ve never had to live under the constant threat of aerial death, you cannot understand what it does to you. I was a young adult when I occupied Baghdad and was regularly rocketed and mortared. I cannot imagine being a child enduring war.

So why did I become a cop in the first place? Copaganda was very effective at convincing young me that policing was how you protected communities from crime. I now know that the safest communities aren’t the ones with the most cops, they’re the ones with the most resources. But at 19 I didn’t know that. I just knew that I wanted to keep people from being hurt the way I had been by violent crime. I learned quickly that there are no good cops. After 3 years I left.

@Mrfunkedude @DrKen @rorystarr As someone who strives to be an ally to undocumented people I have the privilege of not being directly affected by the unintentional offense, so it's easier to be patient, and assume good faith.

@DrKen @Mrfunkedude @rorystarr Can I challenge you to say undocumented instead of illegal? No human being is illegal and undocumented border crossing is typically not a criminal offense, it's administrative.
