@AnthonyFStevens@C_Miller i dont see how the EU will be interested in the freedom of movement, if it doesnt include immigrants...speaking from across the atlantic, i may be missing something, but that is the way it appears at 3000 miles
@AnarchoNinaWrites if we do this thing, resistors will be killed and others will be beaten and others will be locked up, maybe for the rest of their lives. if we all resist, we can overcome them, but not without great personal risk, people need to understand this. pretending otherwise will lead to failure. is it worth dying for? is it worth suffering for? if not, dont play at it. playtime is over.

Lincoln didn’t free “the slaves” and Gordon Granger, was accompanied by as many as 10,000 Black Union troops when he delivered the message of freedom in Texas on Juneteenth. So, let’s get it right this Juneteenth, y’all.
A thought about inflation: Wages have gone up just over 12% in the last four years. In most products and services labor is equal to no more than 1/3 of the entire cost of the item. So any increase in the cost of something in the past four years it’s higher than 4% is probably not wage related, in spite of what business publications are trying to spend most of the “inflation“ is not driven by wages, but instead by greed from the corporations and capitalist that own them.
On this Memorial Day, its important to remember American Business gave us the Nazi war machine before we had to expend a half million American lives to stop it. In 1941, 250 American firms owned more than $450 million ($10 billion in today's money) of German assets. Major American companies with investments in Germany included General Motors, IT&T, Eastman Kodak, Standard Oil, Singer, International Harvester, Gillette, Coca-Cola, Kraft, Westinghouse, and United Fruit. 1/2
2/2 GM and Ford agreed to convert their German plants to military production when U.S. government documents show they were still resisting calls for military production in US plants at home...
Oh, its also true that Memorial Day was originally a day for white southern women to decorate the graves of dead CONFEDERATE soldiers, until the 1960s, Black folks werent even allowed to participate in the by then, Union grave decorations...
We are celebrating the remembrance of white terrorists...
2/2 the far west, and the white liberal who’s live most of their life in the deep south. If you’re gonna be a white liberal in the deep south, you know racism is the number one issue and everything else in America flows from that. If you’re a liberal somewhere else, you may be about everything except civil rights, and you give lip service to civil rights, but when the rubber hits the road you’re nowhere to be found.
Of course, there are exceptions, but in 65 years I haven’t found very many.
I have noticed a lot of white folks attacking Judge Thomas for his corruption. The funny thing he is one of six, the other five are guilty of many horrible crimes, too, yet, for the most part, the focus seems to be on the one black guy.... i havent seen many white southern liberals, nor many black folks from anywhere calling out Thomas and ignoring the crimes of the other 5 corrupt justices.
You know, there’s a difference between white liberals in the Northeast, the Midwest, Northwest,
I stand with trans women athletes! If you dont, you can get fu@ked and go to he!! if this offends you, please unfriend me because trans rights are human rights and if you dont support human rights i dont want to know you!
The USA needs to make it clear that if Israel provokes a war with Iran, they will have to go alone. We dont need WW3. If Bibi is too stup!d to see this is a great way to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, that should not be our problem.
When my middle child, now nearly 40 was in kindergarten, he had an older German American woman for a teacher. She found our half Puerto Rican child to be slow and disruptive, and recommended him for special education. His mother, whose family were mostly educators insisted he be moved to a different main stream class. 1/3
2/3 The school agreed and put him in a class taught be a young Hispanic woman. It turned out his was/is, gifted and brilliant. He went on to graduate from UF with honors and get a MBA from UT and is in charge of a large segment of a Fortune 500 corporation. The point isn’t how great he is, which, as his father, I could be biased.
3/3 But that bias against Black and Brown children is all too common in schools and can have devastating consequences for both the individual as well as cost society at large if brilliant and talented people are seen as slow and disruptive and denied a path to contribute to their fullest.
