On this Memorial Day, its important to remember American Business gave us the Nazi war machine before we had to expend a half million American lives to stop it.
In 1941, 250 American firms owned more than $450 million ($10 billion in today's money) of German assets. Major American companies with investments in Germany included General Motors, IT&T, Eastman Kodak, Standard Oil, Singer, International Harvester, Gillette, Coca-Cola, Kraft, Westinghouse, and United Fruit.

@Mastopoet I just read that decoration day was started by freed slaves to honor those that died and had no choice in the fight, and that the current version was an attempt to push down partisan problems in Jim crow areas.

I guess everything is true on the internet

GM and Ford agreed to convert their German plants to military production when U.S. government documents show they were still resisting calls for military production in US plants at home...

Oh, its also true that Memorial Day was originally a day for white southern women to decorate the graves of dead CONFEDERATE soldiers, until the 1960s, Black folks werent even allowed to participate in the by then, Union grave decorations...

We are celebrating the remembrance of white terrorists...

starting in 1861, southern women decorated CONFEDERATRE graves, in 1868 it was co-opted to honor union soldiers.
