Mable pauses to greet me before grabbing a peanut. Tell me that squirrel is not smiling at me and I’ll call you a fibber! 😄 She has babies right now and sometimes mamma squirrels get a little testy but her sunshiny demeanor has not changed. She’s definitely the #1 squirrel right now.

Up close and personal, please don’t eat my face off 😂

What’s cuter than an oak tit? Oak tit fledglings of course! There has been an absolute explosion, the pine is full of them and it’s delightful to watch them. The oak tit parents really have their hands full feeding their very smiley demanding little ones, it looks exhausting 😅

Does anyone in the L.A. area know what the bird situation is at the lake shrine? That seems like it would be a lovely tranquil setting for bird photos, thinking of taking a little field trip!

Haha oh my goodness, they’re so cute. I had almost forgotten about these guys but it’s very nice to have them around again. Itty bitty oak titmouse.
