@shibao @shibao Using ActivityPub would make it easier to follow, as I can set an alerts for users I follow. And my point was that I can't seem to find your WriteFreely blog via the Fediverse instance I'm on.

@shibao When I tried to look up your blog from the Fediverse instance that I'm on, I ran into trouble as I can't get to it. Shouldn't I be normally be able to find it by searching for @shibao @ writefreely.bubbletea.dev?

If there's one thing that keeps me from posting more regularly on the Fediverse, it's the fact that there's no real way to highlight or separate one's personal posts by importance.

There are many longer-form think pieces that I have in mind, but they would be drowned in my own feed by benign replies.

An alternative would be having a dedicated blog via WriteFreely and share the posts from it, because it supports ActivityPub. But would those posts even get much attention this way? It's difficult enough as it is to garner an audience outside of Twitter, with the Fediverse probably having a millionth of reach - although it being slightly balanced out by having a more sophisticated userbase.

But then I would have to find a WriteFreely instance and considering how almost every ActivityPub instance goes down after 1-2 years, except shitposter.club, and how obscure WriteFreely is, it's a daunting prospect.

It also doesn't help that the Fediverse lacks inline image support. WriteFreely offers it in a tacked-on way, but I believe the included images aren't loaded within the post on other Fediverse instances.

The only thing that I can do right now is attaching an image, so that I and others could find related posts easier by looking through the media tab on my profile.

@mr64bit @icedquinn I only skipped through the video, but I have very mixed feelings about it.

Some aspects are really nice looking and polished, but it still looks janky overall. And the video itself reminded me of those scripted Ubisoft gameplay presentation videos, specifically for Ghost Recon Wildlands.

But having seen Star Citizen so many years later for the first time, I wonder how it will compare in its current state to Star Citizen, which comes out in a month. I was reminded of it a lot, graphically and regarding the graphic detail, as I watched the Starfield Direct for it a month or so ago.

How long is Star Citizen in development again? And when will it release?

I never really followed it too much and was never on either side on the fence about it, but I never liked the fact that they sold ships for thousands and ten-thousands of dollars.

@icedquinn @mr64bit I was merely reminded of Star Field because of the similar style, although there are differences. Star Field is "neo retro", while Star Citizen goes all in on the "futuristic sci-fi".

And despite not liking Bethesda's RPG's (except Fallout 3 and New Vegas), I am cautiously optimistic regarding Star Field. From what I understand, it became a high priority for Microsoft and they pushed the release 2 years back to polish it. But who knows, maybe I'm being fooled by Todd as well.

@icedquinn @mr64bit Looking back: Todd definitely fooled me. Bethesda, their core developer team, is a bomb factory for me.

It's probably one of the most exciting intros of a game I've experienced so far. Steamrolling enemies singlehandedly as a stylish, overpowered thief, attacking with a dagger and pistol and to this track... :blobcatmelt2:

@victor That is an extensive post I have go over a few more times later on. Thank you.

Can you also describe when you take your supplements and what you consider a healthy diet for most people? Plus, any thoughts on the lion diet?

Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

I wish I could focus better on the things that matter.

I mentioned it a few times by now, but I have such trouble with the amount of interesting media and article that I come across.

For the past year or so, I had this fantasy of living in a shed in a forest, away from civilization and without internet, and for entertainment only having a GameBoy and GameBoy Color (I just prefer the green tint of the DMG for grayscale games) and all the lovely unreleased games from the Nintendo Gigaleak from 2020.

    Maybe someday.
