@_elena even more then…does this mean that Pixelfed is just a Mastodon skin?

@_elena I am so confused. If content posted on Pixelfed can appear on my Mastodon timeline, and if my Mastodon messages can appear on a Pixelfed user’s timeline, and if Mastodon allows to post photos, then why do we have two separate programs (Mastodon and Pixelfed) to basically do the same thing?

@futuroprossimo eh si tutto vero. Per questo uso sempre di più mastodon. Internet era bello per i piccoli siti internet che erano sempre una scoperta. Ricordo che compravo una rivista inglese ‘Net che conteneva pagine con nuovi siti da visitare. Ogni volta che accedevo alla rete mi sentivo un esploratore.
