@binarydigit We had a wonderful time back then, did a lot of creative stuff in school. It got to a point where teachers were giving us a passing grade, when we couldn’t be bothered with their classes, because of the stuff we did outside the classroom 😊

I was very lucky with those teachers as well.

🥘 Yesterday, somewhat unexpectedly, I joined a friend, and we went to a birthday party. I did not know the gentleman who was throwing the party (my friend did), but he does know how to throw one! 10+ chefs cooking, each one responsible for a dish. A few Michelin stars present. All friends of the birthday boy. Yummy.

Also present, one of my oldest friends, from high school. We were inseparable back then. He moved to Japan a long time ago, graphic designer for a magazine. Came back, pivoted to ceramics. Very successfully. Didn’t see him for two decades, and then very briefly a couple of years ago.

He saw me across the room, came over, we kissed, hugged, and, first thing coming out of his mouth was: “are you tagging stuff? I’ve seen a tag that IS you!” I played the ignorant for as long as I could, all of 10 seconds. We laughed hard. The first person that has identified me as a vandal is someone I haven’t talked to in decades! But that someone knows me for 40 years!

There was also talk about a possible gig, with another friend who was also gorging all that wonderful food.

Fingers licked, and crossed.

@binarydigit Hahahaha. That’s what made me think about it, the amount of layers I had on! Yesterday got pretty cold in the evening, and today I carried them all home!
