I have a question for you guys does a concept or story element peak your interest more or less than a general theme or emotion.

Typically whenever I'm looking at media I'm more interested with the initial theme or gimmick of the media rather than the setting/theme

She said, "you know if you listened you could do whatever you want and we wouldn't have to yell at you all the time.

At that moment a third eye awoken in me and I realized that if I listen and did whatever people told me to do I could then misbehave as much as I wanted to and no one would believe that I did anything wrong.

I pretty much found the cheat code on how to be an asshole and no One believes that you do anything wrong and that you're a perfect angel.

@LukeAlmighty it's not a bad show I enjoy it also it's just not anything that has a lot of complexity to it.

And that's a good thing not everything has to be complex or have any deeper meaning to it you can have shows that are just completely brain dead.

The more time you spend with an animal and laid down rules their expectations of it the more the animal will adhere to that training.

Same goes for humans humans are a little bit more complex but we operate on a similar principle.

I mean have you ever noticed that whenever a mother continually has people babysit her kid the kid almost always misbehaves in public consistently it's because they're a different expectations constantly and the mother is an enforcing boundaries whatsoever because she doesn't have time to do so.

The entire world is kind of an allegory for how I've seen the entire world descends slowly into a shittier and shittier state and how everything I loved got destroyed by incompetence. But that they're still glimmers of Hope to cling to and that you should always strive for something better and something beyond yourself to continually build.

I still find it amusing that it took me near 20 years to figure out that I needed glasses.

I always thought that people just saw little bit better than me because they could see text a little bit further away and I was always thinking well I don't need glasses because obviously my vision would be blurred if I needed them.

And I always sat in front of the class so no real struggle reading the board or any information.

Only reason, me and my family figured out I needed glasses was, because I had to do an eye test for my driver's license.

I failed it quite hard.

That when I got my glasses they never required me to take the eye test at the DMV, so for all they know I could have just got in fake glasses.

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty I'm definitely more center right generally but I'm very flexible in my mind and willing to sacrifice morality which if we were going back to the strictest definitions of left and right I would be considered a centrist or even left-wing.

It's just that the left wing has gone so completely off the deep end that the right is now coalescing almost all ideologies under its banner.

And weirdly enough it actually functions quite well because the right is so individualistic that there isn't really a unified idea on the right wing more like a collection of factions that are all loosely aligned with each other.

The left is a monolith in how it thinks the only difference is how extreme you're willing to go.
