I think my least favorite thing about YouTube Shorts is that it loops by default, and this has led to a lot of people making shorts that are *designed* to loop and get you caught in a single unending sentence, but also it ends up being weirdly abrupt if you're using an alternate player that doesn't loop
The assumption: people with music on Spotify are making good money from streaming royalties
The reality: at less than one cent per stream, most musicians don't even make back the money it costs to put the music on Spotify, much less the amount it costs to produce the music to begin with
Colin Furze is one of those people who I imagine will die either doing one of his videos or of something completely unrelated and trivial, with no in between.
MacBooks have the least-shitty keyboards of any laptop I've ever used, *but* the keyboards still give me gigantic pain flareups after using them for more than like half an hour (compared to any Windows laptop I've ever used where it's more like 10 minutes)
I think I need to stop using a laptop while I'm watching TV or whatever, or figure out some sort of ergonomic keyboard setup that works on the couch. Maybe I should repair one of my keyboard.io model 01s and use that with the split.
for that matter I should probably try one of the alternate mounting options for the model100 in my office to have it like on my chair armrests or something, although I like to pretend that I'll actually put my sit-stand desk into standing mode someday
set up my working m01 before I started watching TV for the evening and while it's annoying to remember to go back to it after using the trackpad on the laptop, this does at least feel vaguely better so far. Aside from the reminder of just how awful the Mattias Quiet Click switches were compared to the lovely Kailh ones in my m100.
Wish I had a semblance of an idea how to use the quick mousekey thing on this. I love the idea about the fractal/quadtree mouse navigation thing, but oh god can I *not* brain the whole quadrant boundary thing.
or maybe what I'd really like is some sort of trackpoint attached to the keyboard itself? or figuring out a way of doing something like the old DataHand fingertip mouse key thing.
Or, y'know, having a trackball by my side as well, but that gets into the situation where I have to start worrying about cable management and a USB-C dock and whatever
