@silverpill that's interesting because I'd say no, but html pages frequently duplicate title and h1.

@lanodan I think this is half true. Most environments should default to extensions, but if you define _POSIX blah blah, then you have to opt in to extensions.

@trwnh I think the spec could be clearer on what that means.

@lanodan yeah, I can't remember if it was like this before. I thought the url array had the stuff, but now there's another tag array level. No idea what semantic that's supposed to convey.

@tj it was a hand written shell script that does about the same thing as autotools, which came later. Same purpose, but distinct tools.

@icy it's difficult to reclaim space from. you have to run vacuum, but that requires approx double space. (it creates a whole new database). So it keeps growing and growing. It does have some advantages, but I think using the filesystem has some too.

Transition plan is we now store files in an attachments directory, but haven't written the code to extract everything from blob.db. So... it will hang around for a while, and maybe I'll write an optional command to convert. Or maybe support both backends. It's not terribly much code, and it's all been written in one form or another. Heh.

@kaia lemmy serializes activities slightly differently, but it works with new mastodon. They're not doing anything wrong, so it should work with pleroma, except for bugs.

@Moon real talk, I can't get too worked up about 2008 because I feel there was a tremendous amount of wink wink I know you're lying but I'll believe it which leaves very few innocents in the mix.

@feld all AP software will eventually converge on honk's feature set.
