Two activists from Just Stop Oil have sprayed orange paint on the prehistoric Stonehenge stones.

Members of the public were heard shouting “no” and running to intervene as the campaigners, named by the group as Rajan Naidu, 73, and Niamh Lynch, 21, ran up to the stone circle on Wednesday.

Video footage posted on social media showed two people wearing white shirts with the slogan Just Stop Oil, approaching the monoliths with canisters spraying orange paint.

Yes, I have big boobs and that does not help, but it was cut so low, badly too, drooped on one side, and had I gone for next size up re front coverage it would have been too big elsewhere. As it was it would have needed shortening for me in the hem. I had to speak to a student nurse on placement once, met her again in a different job, had to speak to her again, V neck very low, boobs all clambering for swift release, highly inappropriate for the situations she was in at the time. I was astonished.

A doctor suspended for circumcising a baby without a mother's consent has since circumcised a boy without a father's consent.

Dr Balvinder Mehat was suspended by the General Medical Council in 2019, but did not lose his job because a tribunal decided he posed "no risk to patients".

The most recent boy needed surgery in hospital after his penis became infected following the circumcision.

Dr Mehat said he believed that "appropriate consent" was in place.

Dr Mehat previously circumcised a baby boy in July 2013, after the child's paternal grandmother took him to have the procedure without his mother being aware.

In the latest case, the boy - who was seven at the time - was circumcised on 19 October 2022, when his mother took him to have the procedure without his father being aware.

Consent for circumcising a child should be obtained from both parents, according to British Medical Association (BMA) guidance, external, which references the previous case involving Dr Mehat.

Parents in the Portland suburb of Forest Grove are outraged after learning that a local outdoor School has been permitting males to bunk with their young daughters in overnight cabins based on self-declared “gender identity.”

In a screenshot posted by one parent, who uses the X handle @whileursilent, the rules for the Oregon Outdoor School state that high school-aged male counsellors, who the user says may be between 15 and 18, were allowed to sleep in overnight cabins with much younger girls.

The cabins for the program are divided into Female+, Male+, and Gender Inclusive.

According to the description for the Female+ Cabins, the bunk is for “female students (regardless of sex assigned at birth), non-binary students who feel safe in this space, and transgender* students who feel safer in this space.”

Males who identify as "feeling safer" with females are being permitted to bunk in overnight cabins with minor girls at a Portland-area outdoor school.

One of the leaders of the UK's most notorious sex grooming gang that targeted doxens of girls as young as 13 has a parole hearing and hopes to be freed after less than 12-years in jail.

Mubarek Ali, then 29 and his brother Ahdel 'Eddie' Ali, 24, led the gang of seven men, which operated in Telford, Shropshire, that preyed on 100 young girls between 2006 and 2009.

The town was a hub of abuse which saw up to 1,000 girls, some as young as 11, fall victim to various sex gangs over a four-decade period.

Over three years, the Ali brothers' gang targeted schoolgirls who they controlled as child prostitutes by giving them alcohol, food and money.

The Ali brothers were found guilty in 2012 of numerous offences against four girls aged from 13 to 17, including rape, sexual activity with a child, inciting and controlling child prostitution and trafficking children for sex.

Ministers must begin paying compensation to the families of children disabled by the epilepsy drug sodium valproate by next year, a report will say this week. The report’s author, Dr Henrietta Hughes, England’s patient safety commissioner, says valproate is “a bigger scandal than thalidomide, in terms of the numbers of people affected”. She will back calls for financial redress for the thousands of children left physically and mentally disabled. Every month, three babies are still being born who have been exposed to the drug.

As many as 20,000 babies in the UK may have been harmed by valproate since it was licensed in the 1970s. Risks about its effect on babies were intentionally withheld from women by regulators. Many were told it was safe, when about 40 per cent of babies who were exposed were left disabled.

The Transvaginal Mesh Case Record Review, moderated by Alison Britton, professor of healthcare and medical law at Glasgow Caledonian University, analysed in depth more than 40 000 pages of records from 18 women who suffered life changing effects from the surgery. One patient said, “My pain never goes. I’ve always got pain in my groin, my back, and nerve damage in my legs.”

A maternity unit has failed to meet safe staffing levels for four years and had insufficient measures to stop baby abductions, a report says.

A regulator highlighted “significant patient safety concerns” at the unit at Singleton Hospital in Swansea.

One mother told the BBC she was so traumatised by her own experience she never wanted to give birth again.

Police in Germany are searching for two Arab-speaking males accused of raping a young mother on school grounds in Hamburg as she sought to pick up her child on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a police statement, the attack on the 29-year-old took place shortly before 12 p.m. on Weusthoffstrasse in the Heimfeld district of the city.

The victim “was on her way to the school on Weusthoffstrasse when she was approached by two still unknown men and forced onto the school grounds. One perpetrator then violently held the woman down while the other sexually assaulted her,” it read.

Authorities released a description of two suspects given by the victim as they ramped up their investigation to locate the attackers.

The first perpetrator is between 40 and 50 years old and of Arab appearance. He is approximately 5′ 7″ tall, has grey hair, a monobrow, and a mustache. He was dressed in a dark hoodie and trousers.

The second male is also an Arab and around 20 to 30 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall and of muscular build. He has a tattoo on his forearm and was wearing a dark sweater and trousers.

“After the 29-year-old filed a report with the police, the officers from the specialist department for sexual offenses in the State Criminal Police Office (LKA 42) have now taken over the investigation,” a police spokesman said as cited by Welt.

It is the latest incident to take place at an educational facility in the German port city and preceded the evacuation on Wednesday of a school after two young people of a migration background entered a classroom brandishing a gun.
