Any recommendations on how to decorate a boring blank wall background for video calls?

Context: my main desk is in our joint office space/studio, it’s nice and has some bookshelves in the background. I can’t always use that space at the same time as my wife so we have a second smaller desk where my back is to a blank wall (corner) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it look nice.

Apparently, all I needed were antibiotics and *POOF*! Brain can write an essay.

Flow state, and now I'm nearly done. I love it when that happens!

I think I’d been trying to fight off that infection for a few weeks now but didn’t realize I was sick. Bless up to modern medicine. 💊

I’m pretty sure I’m going to read more for my classes this semester than I usually read in a year. 👀💀

I’m on a 200 page per week pace right now and I’m only taking 3 classes. 📚 📚 📚

Going to be a bit quiet here for a few days … I’ve got a surgical procedure in the morning and will have lots of doctor follow up appts to manage.

Context: I am dyslexic & ADHD and require assistive devices like Text-to-Speech to help me read books (and other content) from time to time. No, an audiobook doesn’t solve this issue. No, TTS and audiobooks are not the same. 👍🏻

I have a life announcement! 📣

I’m going back to University! ( At 37! )

The program is self paced, online and all of my accessibility accommodations have been approved!

I’m excited to be able to take asynchronous courses in a supportive environment.

Day 1 is May 1st!
I’m studying Psychology & Philosophy.

I plan to attend Graduate School afterwards and become a Registered Psychologist in Alberta so I can do Autism assessments (and more), and provide a safe place for #LGBTQIA2S folks. 🏳️🌈

So the NHL just banned Pride Tape from being used by any player on the ice.

This is after they recently banned all ‘special initiative’ jerseys - including Pride Jerseys.

The continual erasure of the queer community continues, even in sports.

There is so much more to this than the two examples above but I don’t have the mental energy to catalog it all right now for this post.

It’s disgusting. despicable. wrong. and frankly scary.

I need a new major special interest, I guess…

My #cat has been sick lately and they can’t quite pinpoint what’s going on.

I know, she’s 17 1/2… but I’ll never be ready for ‘that day’.

It’s been expensive, very expensive, but she’s worth it. She’s stable - just some lab work and symptoms that are unusual.

She’s been my little everything my entire adult life. We have a special bond.

We’re going to the vet again tomorrow for more tests — could you please keep my lil Mac in your thoughts? She’s the bestest baby.
