Does anyone else find that if they listen to "music to code by" or "music for studying" on headphones and it moves between the left and right channels that you get completely distracted?

I'm ok with the odd tick or bloop on one side (I quite like listening to Star Trek bridge or engineering sounds or storms), but music that moves and esp swoops is just really distracting

Until we have a metric that people can talk about that isn’t GDP or GDP per capita, we are really going to struggle to say "these economic choices are good ones". Who has a better metric to measure by that we can use as an alternative?

@CloudyMrs @ScottishGreens abolishing the monarchy now is a good thing. Doing it before independence means that it won't be part of the debate.

@phiofx we do, but I do also wonder about moving the work closer to the energy and what things we can do that are higher value than storage.

When I look at all that curtailment and think about how we really need to find a way to store or even better find a good use for all that extra electricity. Produce hydrogen to burn later, store in a battery, move water up a mountain, bake all the things, make fertiliser. #windpunk #solarpunk
