After all that drama around #TheBadSpace I just looked through the FediBlock hashtag.

Admins I thought I could trust are blocking people who speak out against fascism on Twitter/X. BiPoC and trans folks are openly beefing and rage-FediBlock-ing each other.

Nobody is impartial.
I don't trust any public blocklist anymore.
And by that logic I can't trust my own public blocklist anymore.
So I shut it down.

This would explain it. If you're not considering what a person actually wants in the question of consent, then yes, I agree, there can be a hard red line between consent and no consent.*

But not considering what people want when it comes to consent is imo batshit crazy, absolutely dangerous and will always lead to people getting hurt.

*PS: No, actually I still don't. It's still only possible for the person giving or not giving consent to draw that line.

@Wuzzy If I'm asexual, but don't know it (yet) and feel pressured by society to have sex, I will say yes to the person I love and mean it - even though I actually don't want sex.

So now you're saying it's never okay to have sex with people against their will. So in other words sex is always rape, because you can never know, if the other person wants it.

I still don't see a hard red line here.

Until an hour ago I could have said something like "Rape is not sex, just like a beating is not dancing."

But now I've read what #AngelaChen has to say about it in #Ace.
"Rape is not sex" implies that sex is not violent or wrong, but it can be both.
Rape and sex are a spectrum.

No means no, but yes can mean any number of things:
* oh my god, yes please!
* yes, because it's you asking
* okay, let's get this over with, so you will shut up about it
or even:
* yes, because I'm afraid to say no.

Just an FYI: If you blame individuals (which are not #billionaires) on the #ClimateCrisis I will ask you to leave the #ClimateJustice instances. We don't do this here.

Don't get me wrong: It's good if individuals do "their part" in tackling the climate crisis, by changing their habits and lifestyles, but blaming them, when its clearly the #capitalist system's fault is just wrong.

Be #vegan, consume sustainably, ride your #bike, don't fly.
There are many good reasons to do so, e.g.:
👉 it's the right thing to do
👉 it's healthy
👉 you're a role-model for others
👉 if many people do this, it slightly changes how companies act.
👉 it fosters your awareness for the issues

But also be aware that its a droplet on a hot stone. Non-wealthy individuals won't fix the climate with their daily choices. We have to *demand* action by the big players.
And I don't mean blame China!
All of us need to demand radical climate action by our governments.

So please:

✊ #block
✊ #sabotage peacefully

We can do this together! I know we can.

Hey everybody,
Since I'm out of money and unable to work properly I need to find a way to make money with what I can do - what I do anyway. That is Fediverse-moderation or -content creation.
Are you aware of any instances looking for payed moderators or a company or whatever looking for someone to be responsible for their Fediverse presence?

I have experience with both.
I'm moderating instances since February 2020 and moderated in the Fairphone forum before. And I'm posting on the Fediverse since 2018 and have 6.7k followers.

I can only work remotely from home (Vienna, Austria) and I don't do Zoom or Google Hangouts or any other corporate crap for team meetings.

So how many scandals is #threads involved in by now?

The #ClimateCrisis is getting out of hand.
Good thing the people woke up and are voting for fascists who seem to know how to handle the climate. 🤦♀️

Dear Fediverse,
I'm out of money.

How did this happen?
I had quite a bit of money on my account a year ago, but then my grandmother died. I had previously cared for her and got a bit of money for it as well as living rent-free in her house and getting my food payed by her.
Since then I live off my savings.
I am in a bad place mentally and am not able to work, but so far I get absolutely no money from the state (this could change in a month or so).

So with no income I have to pay:

~500€/month for the house (highly variable)
600+€/month for therapy
~240€/month for food
410€/month for the #FediverseFoundation server*
~50€/month for domains*

*The Fediverse Foundation will probably soonish take over here.

So about 1.800€ in total.
I'll definitely try to use up less money, sell stuff and I'll also ask friends and family for money, but a little #MutualAid will help me a lot.
