@Jain@mira don't get me wrong, nothing illegal happened here at any point, by any party them overreacting like this is questionable and it could be debatable whether hosting at any provider with unclear clauses like theirs is a good idea but legally they are completely in the clear here
@Jain@mira > If it turns out that there are no authorities at work there most definitely aren't, and i heavily doubt info was given out to the complainer cloudflare just forwarded the abuse mail they got to the abuse-contact for the relevant IP adress (ie hetzner) you can see the cloudflare mail quoted at the bottom of the hetzner mail, and the hetzner mail starts with "we received a complaint from cloudflare.com"
@fristi@puniko if someone figured out sth better than looking at account age and known keywords i'd love to hear it since we're slowly getting hit with this now too
@Johann150 yknow now that i think about it that library using regex to detect private v6 ranges means if you write out some or all of the zeroes in the :: ffff: prefix it will fail the check 0:: ffff:1.2.3.4 should pass as public in this lib :neocat_lul:
(ignore the awkward spacing, we have an ffff emoji and akkoma's markdown parser is NOT happy about that)
@Johann150 misskey is truly the wooziest of the fedi impls :woozy_ai: but guess thankfully you can just revert the mapped ip to regular v4 in the cacheLookup wrapper until node-fetch gets their stuff together
@Johann150 could be a hetzner outage i just tried doing a globalping (https://www.jsdelivr.com/globalping) and their hetzner node has the same 100.64.10.22 problem as you while the others work
@Johann150 it could be that routing to path.net broke for some reason my v4 space is from there while v6 goes directly to the frantech AS unfortunately buyvm don't offer additional v4 IPs without "DDoS protection" so reachability disagreements like this can sometimes happen
@Johann150 maybe because it's a redirect? it will hit ::119 first and then get a 302 towards the cache at ::41 should work ig though, at least seems to for others
bad at computers (and everything else)blessing fedi with dum since YOLD 3183certified waste of space and oxygenposts are usually rare and follower-only because of mh :aworrySwingSadge: in case of instance meltdown: @sn0w@snowdin.town
