@jwhevans Concrete pumps fascinate the hell out of me

@jwhevans I completely agree. I always feel like I learn something new or see really cool and interesting things people are making, whether it’s technology or art. I’m never stressed looking at my feed. If anything, it makes me want to make more.

@jwhevans The biggest reason for me is time. Every time I pick up the phone, it turns into a 20 minute call. I’ve got too many things to work on to talk on the phone all of the time. I only resort to calling people if I need an answer right now and I can’t find the information I need any other way.

What does it say about your company’s IT department when they force restart your computer in the middle of the workday because updates?

Too bad you were in meetings or doing other work away from your desk for more than 1.5 hours and you had no idea the update was even happening and you come back to lost work 🤬

I love #computers, but I don’t know how IT people live with themselves based on what they do to computer users.

@tk @cycling @mastobikes I did my first cyclocross race in college in 1999 when our collegiate cycling team put on a race on campus in the snow in January. I didn’t buy a real cross bike until 2002. Since then, I’ve been doing it every year (except for Covid) and it’s been my most successful racing discipline. I love it!

All of the #freecad parts in the post last night are from a 1970's drafting textbook that I have. I decided to try modeling the entire assembly to show that you can do it just fine using the Assembly3 workbench to put it all together after modeling each individual part. It really wasn't any harder than doing it in something like SolidWorks. @FreeCAD is an incredibly powerful tool, and it makes me happy to see more and more people realizing that and using it.
