@jwhevans The biggest reason for me is time. Every time I pick up the phone, it turns into a 20 minute call. I’ve got too many things to work on to talk on the phone all of the time. I only resort to calling people if I need an answer right now and I can’t find the information I need any other way.

I think we've moved to a point where people see phone calls as highly pressuring on both ends.
I don't mind it as much as others, but looking back on my youth when I just cold-ass called people all that time. It seems super odd now to make someone drop everything and talk to you randomly.
