I guess for a big audience the digital world became so complex to understand that they can be manipulated by gurus about it. Nfts, Ai, are cult; it works as long as there is investor/believers, imo.

It feels similar in a way to the new age and esoterism market. With a lot of Bs, gurus, and money money money to buy hope, or to exploit ignorance.😔

@stemy Hehe, c'est vrai que ça fait du bien de me moquer un peu. Surtout qu'il y a plus de 10 000 Nfts qui on trainé (ou traine toujours) avec mon nom et contre mon consentement, et des transactions estimé à 4.2 ETH donc à l'époque de la mode, un peu près 10 000 Euros ...

A propos des Bored Apes et des décideurs, je me demande aussi le tôt de cynisme qu'il y a pu avoir dans la construction du schéma. Combien d'influencer on "pomper" la trend en bluffant tout en sachant que ça allait péter. 😤

Rant about the world of social media and marketing:

My latest (very recent) shock was receiving an email from a digital painting software company (I can't name them) asking me my price to switch my entire workflow to their proprietary product and announce it on my channels.

Of course I refused.

I'm still 100% committed to Free/Libre&Open-Source Software. But it made me realise that these days even profiles without a huge internet presence are getting paid to use and advocate things. Meh 😔

@burgervege @FredricT Donc en gros, ma compréhension et que pour reprendre Fable, on peu reprendre les noms, les mécaniques d'interactions des persos, les lieux emblématiques mais il va falloir tout redesigner en s'écartant de la version DC comic (très canon pour ceux qui aiment l'univers). Bref, je ne suis pas certains que ça soit si cadeau comme lègue. Très casse gueule de faire un projet fork de Fable comme ça sans ce prendre DC comic dans les dents, a mon avis. J'y toucherai pas. 2/2
