@hj @davidrevoy Yes I probably over reacting and yes it's just a plugin...
But it's just not possible for me to understand and I'll probably never understand
So just enjoy your day and forgot me and my point of view about this

@davidrevoy @hj Source code is open and by default anybody can fork Krita and remove unwanted things, so what happened here is not forbidden but I just feel really sad to see that instead of contributing to help to improve Krita, some people contribute just to help users to remove dev support
No dev support, no fund = no software
If Krita stop due to a lack of fund, then, users will be happy: they won't have any more banner :blobcatgooglytrash:
@hj @davidrevoy you might use Krita 5.1.5 that's why you don't see it yet 😅
Once a document is opened you don't see the banner then I really don't understand the "distracting" argument...
@hj @davidrevoy The banner won't be visible for people who paid Krita from a store
For whom made a direct donation it's more complicated because hopefully Krita itself don't use network/account like some other paid softwares
It's just a banner for donation campaign, it's not Ad...
It's not blocking you, and as soon as a document is opened, you don't see it anymore...
Also, it's FOSS: nobody force you to donate; you donate if you want, if you can
OpenSource softwares needs funds and it's simple:
- You can't help or you don't want to help? No problem you can still use the software for free
- You can help? help :ablobcatheartsqueeze:
If developers put a simple banner in software for donate campaign, what do is cost to you? Nothing
Especially if banner is not blocking and not visible when you start to use software
But.. :ablobcatknitsweats:
https://github.com/xTibor/kra-adblock
I can't understand why
Seeing this make me feel 🤮
#krita #foss #donate
@davidrevoy :ablobcatknitsweats:
you mean, their software is so bad they need to pay people from foss comunity to promote their software? :ablobcatcoffee:
