@enigmatico I've played extensively on a couple Minetest servers with some friends

It's not that bad really

It's easier to play with pals than Minecraft since Minecraft has a paywall and there are three different versions that aren't compatible and you have to buy each separately

@enigmatico Yeah but the main issue is that Java is locked down to only PC, Bedrock is on phones & tablets and game consoles which is where most people play

I feel like Minecraft is a struggle to play because of this kinda thing and any desire to play minecraft with pals devolves into this argument and we can never pick a version of the game to actually play

Vs playing something like Lego Fortnite where it's just the same on every platform and it's simple with no server faffery and easy crossplay

@enigmatico Because Apple's products tend to turn existing tech into something thats actually palatable by normal people

Absolutely nothing the iPhone did in 2007 was new, all of that was stuff other phones had been doing for years and in some cases more than a decade

The iPhone made all of it actually usable and elegant

Basically all their products are like that
