@kims
Well, long-term success, since I retired in June of 2021 I have lost a lot of weight and increased my fitness, and I did the whole thing extremely carefully and gradually, so it should stick. I've actually had to start eating a little more than I really want, because my goal was to stabilize between 120 and 125 lb and I'm flirting with dropping under 120, which is not very many pounds away from underweight. And I feel very good. Thank you for asking.

@phaedral @RustyBertrand
I think a lot of people misunderstand or don't notice that part, much as a lot of people misunderstand or don't notice the details of the service requirements for voting in _Starship Troopers_. -

Like about neutering cats. (That's the argument I won regarding whether it was his own opinion or not.)

@RustyBertrand Just adding that it was a Heinlein character who said that, not Heinlein himself. I once proved to a Heinlein newsgroup that an opinion expressed in a story was in fact his own, but it wasn't that one.

I don't either, and I don't think Heinlein did, but I'm not going to go to the trouble to try to prove the latter.
This doesn't mean I'm shedding any tears for that CEO, though. I do believe in the rule of law, although lately my belief has taken some serious hits, but that doesn't mean I have to feel bad.
