@freemo @Hyolobrika Putting together "not being responsible for things other people who aren't me have done or said" and "existing as a collective", i would like to add that you as part of a group are not immediately responsible for what other members do or say.
If the general alignment of the group changes, ok. But for individual missteps, you are not - just because people tend to act like you were does not make it so!
In conclusion, i would posit that the two ideas are not as opposite as they may seem.
