@phnt @mangeurdenuage Right. You should just use the browser that forces websites to do what it wants because of its install base. There will be no negative consequences because of this. -

@f0x @p @GhostOfMoshe @gav @wertimer I read too quickly and posted about her having a full sleeve at 18 before realizing that was a distance, not age. Deleted the post but I guess that didn't propagate. -

@p @f0x @Leyonhjelm @rees Sure. That's still a reason not to go there. Malicious stares are not something I need with my caffeine drink in the morning. -

@p @f0x @Leyonhjelm @rees This is true. I avoid such places because my love of coffee and connoisseurs is vastly outweighed by my distaste for pretention. You can have taste, just don't get uppity about it. -

@f0x I agree. It's much easier to detach yourself from anything meaningful after you adopt this attitude. -

@f0x The world continues after Rome but it take a long time to become Europe. That's the part none of the accelerationists seem to understand. You won't see the other side of the collapse you're pushing towards. Heck, your children won't nor their children. It takes so much effort the claw some order out of the chaos and so much more to maintain it. In the end the only thing being accelerated towards is not a new, better civilization , but suffering for a lot of people.
So get out there, make friends, help people. Sweat for something worthwhile. Pray. Life is for living so leave the Internet for a while and do something. -

Need a woman I can shoot guns, raise kids, and be Catholic with. A similar taste in music and books wouldn't hurt but headphones exist. -

@f0x @bajax The key here being "most." And the confusing ones make grammatic sense. Just not any other kind. -

@icedquinn Now this is a conspiracy theory I can get behind (it confirms my priors that Nintend* is evil)!

@icedquinn Ah. It's been noted, and my personal experience, that homeschooled kids tend to be better socialized and much better at socializing with people outside of their age bracket. The theory tends to be that because most homeschools work more like the one room school, they just aren't as siloed and don't see talking to people that aren't the same age as weird.
On a personal level it has always seemed odd to me that a school system that is ostensibly preparing you for the workplace would emphasize that stratification so much. At no other point in your life will you only be interacting with people who are within a year of your age. -

@icedquinn Can you expand on that a bit? Specifically, what do you mean by "waves"?
