    Something too keep inn mind too id that the Vivitar has abrighter minimum apayure at 400mm, but it has so much chromatic aperations and is super soft its not worth it. You really need to stop it down to f/11

    Bit of a size comparison of my old 400mm and the new one. First image is them with hood, the second is them compacted down. The Sigma 100-400 fully extended is abot the same lenth as the Vivitar compacted down. Inn adition the Sigma takes 67mm filters and the vivitar needs 77. (All mine are 72)
