@daniela @freeplay@plasmatrap.com did a quick ffprobe on the video, it's using the yuv444 colorspace; chromium supports this, but not firefox

masto can handle it because it actually re-encodes the video

none of this would've been possible without puni's original work on pleroma/akkoma/foundkey, the code currently in firefish is derived directly from their foundkey implementation (albeit with many modifications) so they deserve a huge amount of the credit and thanks here
