@fesshole Now I want to read a story about someone who accidentally got on the wrong side of the mirror.
@Mastodon I like how it became easier to edit profiles and switch off boosts. The 'Following you' badge seemed logical and informative. The fact that the same info now requires a treasure hunt is puzzling.
I have no suggested featured hashtags. My Featured menu states I haven't set any hashtags, which doesn't reflect the reality; I have. They are hovering above my Activity with no label of what they are.
I hadn't even realized how much I missed a good old photo feed until I visited pixelfed. It's like stepping out into nature where the peace in the air takes away the pain you didn't know you had.
From what I understand about Mastodon now, the more people I follow, the better chances I have to find discussions I'm interested in. Not that it's a complete Catch-22, but it’s certainly hard to start discovering things when your following list is quite short. Does anyone have recommendations from the world of literature, science, or art?
As it's been very quiet for me here on #Mastodon, here's this wrinkly apple for you. I'm kidding, it's not an apple. It's called Maclura pomifera. According to Wikipedia, mastodons used to love these.
@WarnerCrocker Because everything is an illusion.
@Mastodon It would be nice to be able to browse through such “albums.” So far, it’s been challenging to discover accounts by focus or interest. “Packs” brings to mind stray dogs, but also piles of material, so I suppose it depends on personal perspective.
I'm Alexandra, a writer of fiction and non-fiction. I help build I Write Like, a markdown text editor. I share news about it, although most of the time I talk about writing, science, and other things that catch my attention.I'm a person of the mountains, meaning -- I spend a lot of time there, bringing back photos, thoughts, poetry and fairy tales. All of those I also intend to share here.I'm new. I'm excited. I'm still learning.#markdown #writing #fiction #poetry #software #outdoors
