#enshittification of “family” medical care.
A local medical clinic chain in northern Colorado that used to be called Associates in Family Medicine got bought out a year or so ago by a national chain called Village Medical. As patients we noticed some longer delays, etc. but nothing critical. Last week they announced they were ending all #obstetrics care. All of it. Turns out AFM was the only part of the natl chain that still had it at all. Not any more.

Colorado voters passed an initiative to do this 4 years ago. All school kids K-12 get free breakfast and lunch. Paid for by a tax on household incomes over $300K/year. (About $45/year extra.) School districts buy from local vendors. Afaik, kids & families don’t pay anything. Denver was a holdout because of the number of students. Not sure if they’re doing it yet. Probably other holdouts as well.

Good. Now the emphasis can be be on what a complete asshole the old candidate is, and how he’s too old and decrepit to be given the nuclear codes, and he’s a convicted felon and all the rest. And all the other guys can come back with is misogynistic and racist bullshit. Personally, I think Mayor Pete would make an excellent VP (and POTUS down the road for that matter.) The 🤯 on the right would be fun to watch.

What’s with all this #monolith bullshit? Newest one is in northern #Colorado near me. Pictures in the local (online, owned by Gannett, ugh) rag outside some restaurant. It looks metallic. Reflective. Doesn’t anybody know what a monoLITH is? Lith means stone, ffs. It’s either aliens (I doubt it) or some billionaire bro version of #BirdsArentReal pranking us for the lols.
