@apps @HolosSocial in my opinion this entire project is stupid. If the relay goes down you're still going to find a new one and you aren't directly connecting to stuff anyways. Also the amount of bandwidth a instance needs isn't too mobile friendly

@smallcircles @silverpill @raphael @julian @mariusor ActivityPub as a space is just a mess, we have multiple types of social media clashing all over one protocoll whcih has a bunch of extensions with some being duplicates of other extensions and then diffrent people fighting over which one is the proper one to implement. At somepoint we just need to reset everything and start from a clean plate cause this shit cant go on forever.

@silverpill i dont know alot about programming, especially with databases and postgresql spesificly is more of a blackbox to me but from what i know/theorise implementing such a system shouldnt be harder then implementing postgresql as a db for a applications, in theory you just have another database with a table where every hash is noted with a exipry data and a true or false statement if the file can be deleted. You could go further and only have one instance delete stuff.

@silverpill maybe a system could be implemented so all the instances that share the same storage could talk together

@silverpill i got the mitra-s3 fork kinda working. Introducing @test , the webui might not work but i can generate media by following it. im using minio for the s3 backend.

@silverpill dev builds are builds that are compiled with code thats not in a release yet. its a pretty common to have them labled after the latest commit or just -dev
