I remember that main in Pirates of the Caribbeans getting all excited about Orlando's hardworking hands. After a few weeks working on a construction site (yes, I wear gloves where apprpriate), I, too, have blackmsith hands.

The prototype garden is going well, my coaching concept is all figured out, and the last preparations are well underway. Very soon, I will be able to offer the first garden coaching spots. To start off, I will offer three spots.

Wow, I am nervous. But I am also really looking forward to coaching your gardens, especially with early spring prep on the horizon.

Peertube keeps putting out notifications for my videos. It definitely triggers when the videos supposedly changed. I just added the missing subtitles for a few of the oldest videos. Now there are notifcations getting pushed to the fediverse again. Anyone know how to turn of notifications on changing videos? New ones, yes, but not changing ones.

And I still don't know what triggered it over the last few days, for all of my videos because I did nothing then.

@Mrfunkedude I haven't moved instance either. Nothing.

Today, I triggered three notification pushes becaues I updates subtitels but over the last days almost all my videos were pushed at some point. And I didn't touch my laptop.

@Mrfunkedude There seem to be quite a few things weird with Peertube right now. I'll write some bug reports when I have a brain again next week.

As my studies end next week, I am still looking for an income.

I have a court appointment tomorrow because of the moldy former apartment that we had to move out of in the end because it was uninhabitable. I'm very nervous because I know that being right doesn't mean we'll win, but also because I really don't know what to expect. 10 minutes? 3 hours? What does "enough" mean when they tell me to arrive early for the security checks at the entrance? I'm really doubtful I'll get sleep tonight.

@morph Ich dachte auch eher an die Quitte, nicht die Zierquitte auf Dauer. Die Zierquitte war mir bis eben nicht mal bekannt.

Ich wüsste aktuell nur, wo ich Äpfel und Birnen und Pflaumen finde.

Ich hoffe eure Quitte lebt voll auf und trägt viele leckere Früchte :)

@morph Leider nein, aber Quitten stehen auf der Liste des gewünschten Obstes. Ich habe einen einzelnen Apfel und ganz, ganz viele Mirabellen.

@morph Da käme ich gut mit klar. Ich hätte nur gerne nicht das, was mit den Johannisbeeren passiert ist... hatte Gelierzucker genommen, weil ich kein Pektin mehr hatte. Eine Hälfte sieht echt gut aus, die andere Hälfte ist extrem flüssiger Sirup mit Johannisbeeren fast intakt drin rum schwimmend... Sirup mit eingelegtem Obst ist ja nett, aber ich wollte halt einen Aufstrich...

Do you think Mirabelle plums are suitable for jam/jelly without adding pectin? When I complained about not having a source of pectin, some of you insisted I could learn how to do without instead. Do you think that's worth trying with Mirabelle plums?

I've chosen to write my master's thesis about regenerative agriculture, because I want to find out if it's possible to feed the growing population on Earth without exploiting it, what the benefits and barriers are compared to capitalistic agriculture, and what the real obstacles to transitioning to regenerative practices are. I've spent months preparing. Now I am deep into writing. Of course, I'll continue to take you along through the chapters.

It rained for about 45 seconds. I mean, no rain, then suddenly loudly splattering rain, then an abrupt return to no rain. I've rarely seen a single cloud this obviously. Cool.

The moment after the rain when the birds slowly start singing again, tentatively return to their search of food is always a pleasure.
