We still have 2 years until end of LTS for Debian Bookworm AKA the last main i386 Linux distro.

Last version of #OpenGL came out almost 10 years old.

UHHHHHHHhhhh..... no please.
I feel like 70% of the people that praise Vulkan have never used Vulkan.
It is not an OpenGL replacement. It's a complete different approach.
It feels way too low level. Everything takes way too much code.
"Oh but It's better"
It's better if you really love tinkering the inner workings of a rendering pipeline...
"So many things use Vulkan now"
That's like saying "so many things are written in assembly now" It's all thanks to SPIR-V and compatibility layers, most stuff is not written natively in Vulkan.
"Just use a framework"
Yeah... can you give me a good framework that makes use Vulkan as easy as OpenGL that actually has some level of long term support?

Remember that getting good at using some subscription-based software is like throwing effort to the bottom of the ocean.
One day that program is going away and you are left with a bunch of wasted time.
Look at what happened to Adobe Animate.
People now have to install a cracked version of Adobe Animate CC 2019 to be able to keep using it.
Spend your time on software that can't be taken away from you.

@gianmarcogg03 hmmm now that you mention it, I had this on my bookmarks for a very long time, didn't know it was unofficial, normally I only save official links to stuff... I tried looking up the name of the maintainer online but as it often happens with open source not everyone uses their real name when they contribute to a repo, so I'm not sure if this is the actual developer, I will do some research.

The maintainer of icecat was diagnosed with lung cancer. Icecat is a really cool browser project that really cares about protecting privacy and giving back control to the users. It served as an inspiration for me and many other people <3
