What #Interrail needs is a way to do this search: Starting from A, arriving at B, show me all connections with an overnight stay about halfway there.

E.g. going from Utrecht to Parma, I could stay in Lyon, Freiburg, or Basel, but finding out the routes currently takes a good long look at the railway map, a notebook, and at least 6 individual searches - and this is an easy example.

My SO has found their art on Temu. Somebody is apparently selling stuff printed off of screen-grabs from their actual shop. It's so weird, and I am very angry and confused.

The logo is even still on it and everything, and whoever ends up buying this stuff will get very low-res prints on terrible paper, if anything at all.

It's visible only in the US, I wonder if that is intentional to make it harder for European right holders to detect.

@hellomiakoda I think it's slightly different - a newborn does not yet have the concept of a language. Then they specialise to learn English or Chinese or Klingon, and that specialisation probably informs what foreign languages sound like.

A baby needs training to understand what word boundaries and syllables and sentence melody are but we usually have no trouble picking out these basic concepts in a foreign language.

My own criticism of that EU law is that they didn't bother to check if there were ever any reason to let yourself be voluntarily tracked - there isn't. The whole thing should've been a law that makes it illegal.

@kaia Pfft, that's just your individual perspective as one of those people who install NM with the unusual goal of using it for its intended purpose. You can't expect them to cater to such a rare use case.

@hellomiakoda yeah, I tried one of the modern ones and the overall feeling was "this could have been a direct to VHS movie". No challenge whatsoever, it was an exercise in "press B to advance to next next place where you have to press B".

Nothing to do with the original, gameplay-wise.

@tchambers one nice thing about RSS is that pretty much all clients support import and export with a standardised format. So you can try various different services and local clients; the switching cost is minimal.

I have ended up on a web one that comes with a mobile app after finding that the drawbacks of self-hosting and local clients are too big.
