@kaia It's a gatekeeping mechanism to keep down the number of people exclaiming that they use Arch, btw.

@kaia That's how the actual projects are named upstream. And all the executables are also nm* without a dash while the applet executable is nm-applet kaia likes this. -

@kaia arch has a guideline that dictates that every package should be all lowercase
but also they try to not patch much about packages so they just end up with this weird situation
though it's also funny because as far as I know networkmanager is the only program that has an uppercase sysd servicekaia likes this. -

@kaia Pfft, that's just your individual perspective as one of those people who install NM with the unusual goal of using it for its intended purpose. You can't expect them to cater to such a rare use case.
