@killyourfm that's amazing! My iPod classic is long gone, unfortunately, disk died... it's why I bought a Fiio X1 at the time (8 years ago maybe?), which recently died too though, so I'm on a HiFi Walker at the moment and loving it 😁
@killyourfm I've always seen inspiration as something akin to tuning to a radio: when inspiration strikes me, it's indeed like I ended up by accident on some psychic radio waves where I can hear clearly something that didn't exist in my mind before, so something I just have to remember and write down. I don't know if I'll ever figure out if the music I've composed actually came from me, or from some collective subconscious thingie somewhere
@killyourfm Fedora Linux with which desktop environment, though? Gnome and KDE are known resource hogs compared to XFCE and others for instance. Or is this part of the software analysis that will follow?
@radiofreefedi would that mean songs from that genre would be moved to that side channel and only there, or that they'd still appear in both? Selfishly speaking, I don't like edm, dubstep, techno etc, so having them in a channel of their own would make more time for music I prefer listening to on the main channel for instance ? Hopefully we'll get to a point where there's so many contributors and genres that there will be multiple side channels to choose from
@killyourfm my parents have been to Tenerife for a couple of weeks just last month and they told me the same thing, about how varied it is (and how good the food was too ?). Hope you're having fun!
I've seen a few people wonder what could happen to #Spaces, now that #Twitter seems to be in a downward spiral, and whether it could possibly be replaced using #FOSS. As such, I thought I'd write a blog post on how you can use #Janus as a #webrtc server to do exactly that, and build some sort of Spaces/Reddit Talk/Clubhouse clone with a scalable audio approach. Quite generic and mostly focused on scalability (not the app itself), but hopefully interesting nevertheless!
