It's amazing really how dropping Meta social platforms did basically just kill any social engagement with anyone I know IRL besides a group chat on Discord, and there's not really a good way around that. Like the idea of telling my mum to go on Bluesky or (Jesus NO) Mastodon is hilarious to me.

I'm still not going to use them again, because Zuck can gargle my fluids, but Christ, Facebook really was quite good for "posting things I want to tell/show this specific group of people I know in real life and absolutely nobody else".

Which is especially annoying since the idea for that was to be like a "priv" account but a) none of the people I would want to post priv stuff to are there and b) it sucks.

For what it's worth, this place is at least more active for me than Mastodon. Literally everything I post on there is also over there and the last sign of any interaction I had there was over three weeks ago. It's an absolute ghost town.
