For what it's worth, this place is at least more active for me than Mastodon. Literally everything I post on there is also over there and the last sign of any interaction I had there was over three weeks ago. It's an absolute ghost town.
Which is especially annoying since the idea for that was to be like a "priv" account but a) none of the people I would want to post priv stuff to are there and b) it sucks.
I'm still not going to use them again, because Zuck can gargle my fluids, but Christ, Facebook really was quite good for "posting things I want to tell/show this specific group of people I know in real life and absolutely nobody else".
You're on your own instance and have follow requests on and tell people not to follow you. Fediverse works by follow relationships for the most part. If nobody follows you, your posts don't go very far. I'm actually surprised your post reached me.
Also, you only have 13 posts in your month and a half of being here.
It's still social media. You'll have to post a bit more than that and hope a few of them catches on. Not all posts will be seen, liked, or boosted.
And I'm sure you figured out that you should use hashtags, but don't abuse them. Use them like little categories for your posts. If I'm talking about Fediverse or Mastodon directly, I use those tags, for example.
@BeAware I mean already nobody responds to my posts or talks to me on here (you are, literally, my first notification in three weeks) so I may as well be blocked anyway lol
